About this plugin
Image Tools: eight local image editing and conversion tools
Image Tools brings image compression, format conversion, resizing, cropping, stitching, annotation, text watermarks and metadata cleanup into MixSo Quick. Prepare images for websites, documents and everyday sharing without uploading the image files to an online processing service.
What you can do
Batch image compression
Compress several JPEG, PNG or WebP images in one operation. Set quality and, optionally, a target size in KB. The tool retains the source format and keeps the original file data when re-encoding cannot produce a smaller result. PNG is lossless, so quality affects JPEG and WebP; reaching a target size may also reduce dimensions. A target is not guaranteed, and the interface reports when it cannot be met.
Batch format conversion
Convert images to JPEG, PNG or WebP. Choose the output format and quality once for the batch. Quality applies to JPEG and WebP. JPEG cannot preserve transparency; transparent areas are exported on white.
Image resizing
Set width and height in pixels or enter a scale percentage. Keep the aspect ratio enabled to resize proportionally. The live preview updates as you adjust the settings, and the output retains the source format.
Crop, rotate and flip
Select a crop area in the preview, use a preset aspect ratio, or enter precise crop coordinates and dimensions. Rotate in 90-degree steps or flip horizontally and vertically, then check the result before saving.
Vertical and horizontal stitching
Combine two to eight images into one image at their original dimensions. Choose vertical or horizontal layout, set spacing and background color, and use the file-list arrows to change the order. The preview shows the combined result.
Image annotation
Add rectangles, arrows, text, solid covers or mosaic areas. Draw on the result image or enter percentage-based coordinates and dimensions, then use the plus button to add the annotation. Undo, redo and reset help you refine the result.
Text watermarks
Add a single centered watermark or repeat it across the image. Adjust text, color, opacity, font size and angle while viewing the result. This tool adds text watermarks; it does not insert an image logo.
Metadata cleanup
Create a PNG copy without supported EXIF, XMP, IPTC and text metadata from the source. This does not erase information visible in the picture or make an image anonymous. Review the pixels themselves before sharing.
How to use Image Tools
- Open Image Tools from Quick and choose an output folder at the bottom of its home page. All eight tools share this setting, and Quick remembers it after restart.
- Choose a tool and add the image files. Compression and conversion accept batches; stitching combines multiple files; other tools work on one image at a time.
- Adjust the settings. Editing tools show a live before-and-after preview. You can collapse the options to make more room for the preview, or use the eye button to view the original image inside the plugin.
- Click Process and save. Results are organized into tool-and-date subfolders. Original files remain unchanged, and existing output names receive a number instead of being overwritten.
- Click Open folder beside a saved result to open its location and select the generated file. If some files fail, retry the remaining items without processing the successful ones again.
Files, limits and workspace
- Supported input formats: JPEG, PNG and WebP, up to 16 MB per image.
- Each input and generated image must fit within 8,192 pixels on either side and 16 million pixels in total. The current workspace accepts up to 32 million input pixels.
- Compression, conversion and stitching accept up to eight images. Stitching requires at least two. Other tools accept one image.
- Stitching includes the spaces between images in its size calculation. For a vertical result, width is the widest source image and height is the sum of source heights plus spacing. A wide result can exceed the total-pixel limit before reaching 8,192 pixels in height.
- Each tool keeps its own files, settings and results during the current Quick session, including when returning to it or moving between embedded and detached windows. This working history is cleared when Quick exits; the output-folder preference persists.
Local processing and practical privacy
Image operations run locally and can be used offline after installation. Image processing does not require an upload. Use annotation to cover visible sensitive details and metadata cleanup to remove supported hidden metadata; these are different tasks and neither replaces a careful review of the final image.
