Privacy Policy
Understand what stays on your device, what online services receive and how you can manage your information.
Scope and contact
MixSo is a productivity tools brand. This policy applies to the MixSo website and the products and services that reference it, including the relevant features of MixSo Quick and MixSo Account. “MixSo” in this policy refers to the provider of these services. Contact us at support@mixsoai.com.
Local tools, account services and online plugins process different information. The sections below explain those differences. Independently provided plugins and external services may have their own privacy policies.
Local tools and your content
App and file search works with names, paths and search terms. Clipboard, notes, screenshot and file-processing tools handle the content you select or create. Local records and output files are managed on your device; an online feature or plugin can have a different data flow.
The usage-statistics channel described below does not collect search text, clipboard content, file contents or the content processed inside plugins. This does not mean that every plugin works offline. Review a plugin’s permissions and service description before submitting content.
You can remove local records using the relevant tool. Exported files, pinned copies and your own backups may need to be removed separately. Grant only the operating-system permissions you need, and take care with passwords, private conversations and work documents.
Account and sign-in
Account services process the information used to register, sign in and display your profile, such as your email address, username and avatar, together with authentication and access records. These functions use servers; they are not entirely local to your device.
Signing in through MixSo Account lets a connected product verify your identity and retrieve the profile and entitlement information needed for that service. For third-party sign-in, review the information requested on the authorisation screen. Signing in does not itself upload all your local files or clipboard history.
If you use a supported synchronisation feature, review its stated scope and controls. Signing out, stopping synchronisation and requesting deletion of server records are separate actions.
Installation and usage statistics
Quick sends installation and usage information to MixSo servers to help us understand adoption, system compatibility and commonly used features. The current implementation distinguishes:
- Installation registration: a randomly generated installation identifier, operating system, processor architecture, initial app version and first-launch time. The initial registration is separate from the usage-statistics switch; disabling usage statistics does not prevent this registration.
- Quick usage: app versions, recent opening time and daily counts of starts and interface activations.
- Plugin usage: plugin identifiers and daily counts of launches, installations, updates and removals.
Usage statistics are enabled by default in current Quick settings. In App Settings → Preferences, you can turn off “Allow usage statistics” or individual categories. Turning a category off stops subsequent collection and reporting for that category and clears its queued counters; it does not delete reports already received by the server.
These statistics do not carry an account identifier or your search text, clipboard content or file contents. Installation identifiers can distinguish installations, so this should not be understood as a guarantee of complete anonymity.
Fault diagnostics
Fault reporting helps locate installation, update and plugin failures. Diagnostic records can include event time, app and plugin versions, operating system and architecture, error codes, processing stages and timings, package hashes and recovery results. The structured reporting channel does not accept file contents, account credentials, full local paths or raw user input.
“Report plugin faults” is a separate preference from usage statistics. Installation and update faults are reported automatically and are not controlled by the usage-statistics switch. Where diagnostic preferences are available, use the controls in your installed version.
Plugins and external services
An online plugin, translation tool or AI feature may send the text, images or files needed for your action to its service provider. Check the publisher, destination and applicable privacy policy before use. Installing a plugin does not authorise unrelated collection or sharing.
External providers determine their own content handling, including retention and model-training practices. Do not assume that an external service offers zero retention or excludes training. Keep API keys and confidential material out of public submissions and support screenshots.
MixSo Open operates developer-facing services separately. Publishing a plugin or using developer APIs can involve author profiles, submitted assets and access credentials; review the notices provided by Open for those activities.
Website storage and support
The website uses cookies for sign-in sessions, temporary authentication transactions and language preference. Browser session storage temporarily caches basic profile display data, including a user identifier, display name and avatar address, to prevent header flicker. Local storage also carries a sign-out invalidation marker. This display cache does not grant access; the server still checks the session.
You can clear cookies and website storage in your browser. This may sign you out or reset preferences; it does not delete your account or server records.
Website visits, downloads and online requests involve connection information such as an IP address, request time and browser information. Infrastructure and security logs are distinct from the Quick usage-statistics switch. When you contact support, we use the contact details, messages and attachments you supply to handle your request. Remove passwords, tokens and unrelated personal material before sending them.
Manage and delete information
Local tool records remain under your device’s controls; account records, reports already submitted and support messages involve servers. Uninstalling an app, clearing browser storage or disabling future reporting does not automatically remove those server records.
- Use the relevant tool to review or remove local history, and separately check exports and backups.
- Use Account settings for available profile controls. For access, correction, a copy, deletion, withdrawal of consent or account closure, contact support@mixsoai.com if no self-service option is available.
- Describe the product, account where relevant and requested action. Do not send a password or verification code. We may need proportionate verification to protect your information.
- Before account closure, save needed information and check linked services, entitlements and outstanding orders. Records that must legally be retained are subject to applicable requirements.
We handle requests under applicable law. Your rights to complain to a competent authority and seek other legal remedies are not limited by contacting support.
Minors and sensitive information
If you cannot independently give valid consent, involve a parent or guardian before creating an account or submitting personal information. Guardians can contact support about a child’s information. Applicable age and consent requirements depend on the service and region.
User-selected content can contain sensitive information even when a tool does not need it. Only process or submit health, identity, financial or other sensitive records when you have the necessary authority and understand the service receiving them.
Security and policy changes
Keep your device, account credentials and API keys secure. No system can guarantee absolute security. If you suspect unauthorised access or a data incident, contact support@mixsoai.com without including passwords or verification codes.
We will explain material changes to this policy and obtain renewed consent where required. Publishing a revised policy does not by itself replace consent to a new processing activity. The updated date identifies this version.
